Mice that like to eat RECARO seat material
Has anyone had mice problems with their Milano? is there an opening they use to get inside the car?

Gah! Don't jinx us by speaking of such things! On a more serious note, I had mice get into two S600's. What a mess. I've heard that mice can get through any opening big enough to fit their snout/head into.

I have only had issues with them feasting on the wires resting on the firewall where there insulation is and thankfully not in the car itself. I agree they like Milanos.
May I suggest drier sheets under the seats?

Fabric softener drier sheets work great to keep mice away and they dont smell too bad either. I got this tip from someone and it really works.

They can get through a hole as big as a dime. I keep a few mouse traps in my garage and replace the cheese periodically.A cat helps too!

I had some chew the insulation off of the fire wall too. When the car was sitting outside and not used much, I would seal off the tail pipe and air intake, put mothballs under the car and in engine bay. Inside the car I put Irish Spring soap.
Now that it is inside all the time, I am not using any "repellent" methods.

I had a guy tow in a car once with a bunch of bent valves. A mouse had decided to nest in his timing cover: when he started the car, the mouse made the belt slip on the crank pulley and bang!
I wonder how long the mouse tried to outrun the pulley up the toothed belt?!

When the kid smashed through my old garage (long story) and they were building my new garage (AKA Taj-garage) I had to park the Milano in the back yard. I think the mice filled the Stebro with stuff. I still have yet try to shake it out seeing my heads have been "lost" for the past 5 years (another long story.) I am very fearful my muffler is full of air blocking crud..
Thankfully the GTV6 was nestled at my parent's garage at the time..

supposedly.... in all the time that it was stored outside, Mickey never came inside. But then, I had a bunch of mothballs in a bowl under the car too.
May just have been lucky

Ok, assumed this problem went away.........had drier sheets in the car.....didn't see anymore damage.....forward until today when I popped the trunk, and found a nest on top of the fuel cell, and four mice dancing.........then they scrammed........is it possible that the mice got in through the rust holes around the dog leg portion of the quarter panel?????????? they ran through the opening of the trunk hinges on the trunk carpeting
