Is your father still alive? I most likely benifited from his quality contol. I did not keep any serial numbers from the aircraft I worked on, but they were F4B and J aircraft and they all came out of the McDonald Douglas plant in ST Louis. One set of 10 F4J's came directly from McDonald Douglas to VF-31 in Oceana VA where we did the acceptance inspections and took possession. This was in Sept 67, so they probably came directly from his QC. If he is still with us, tell him thanks, everyone at McD did a great job and they were fabulous aircraft. One of my most prized possessios is a McD Deck Model of an F4J in USN paint, in air mode. I would not part with it for any amount of money.
