I'd use an appropriately sized Phillips oval head stainless steel screw and a carbon steel nut tack welded underneath, primed with acid etching primer and painted after welding. That's my plan. After I screw the slightly over length screw in, I'd put a SS aircraft nut on that to hold it in-place better. I've heard of these fairings flying off over time. Perhaps you could just do the SS bolt, aircraft and washer. I get SS hardware for my boat in nice kits.
The screws on the front blinker cover are different lengths for the middle versus outboard, if you mean the screws that hold the lens onto the housing. I'm missing a few of those (long and short ones) and the rest have damaged heads. Yea, I could use a few if you have extras. I recall there are 4 each on the front(??) and three each on the rears(??). Bruce
It appears either the clamshell style (early S/N's) or the clip and loop ones (later ones) are original to a '69. See the post for the latest conclusion. I have no source, in fact a guy trying to find some of the clasp-loop style on the BB "Wanted" for a GTV is having NO luck finding any. That said on what's OE, I've installed non-OE inertial reel 3-point belts for a bit more safety.
Gregg, yes, the front clip hold-down. I hate metal screws in outer body work. I put on a OE-style right hand side view mirror and did it with metal screws, UGH! I have a set of NOS Carello covers and when I paint this or next year, I'll weld on a nut underneath the holes for a bolt.
