Hei Erik.

Thanks for your reply in the thread about my hesitating Dellorto's.
Now I have got the carbs fitted and running. As I wrote in my thread, I have one problem that has arisen and it is as follows:
It's difficult to start. After much turning over it finally starts
with the accelerator pedal slightly depressed. I use following
procedure. Pump the pedal a couple of times - turn the engine. Repeat
this until it starts. But it almost drains a perfectly healthy
battery.
When it starts and warms up it runs well, but it still has a serious hesitating
issue at low rpm's. Especially when the car is at approx. 1.500-1.500
rpm's and it is floored it almost dies. It get's slightly better when
the car is warmed up, but still, it will hesitate when floored below
2.500 rpm. When it run at 3.000 rpm's or above, I can floor it and it
just goes like a rocket, without and hesitation at all.
Having read though most of the books I have on the subject, the only
thing I can come up with is that the accelerator pump is not working
properly. I haven't changed the accelerator pump jet after cleaning
this winter, but I did replace the diaphragm of the accelerator pump.
The ones that I took out of the carbs were orange/reddish and had two
layesr of diaphragn.?! The ones that were put in and came with the kit
had only one layer??.
Can you be of any help on this??
When the car is warm, it has no problem starting. I just turn the key - not even pressing the accelerator pedal!?.
Hi Erik, this is Francisco Vidal from Spain. I posted a topic around march about fitting a 105 engine on a alfa 2000 touring spider, and you answered that you had some 102 spare engines. Is that still the case? if so, could you give me a description & price for them?
