I have just been reading through some old posts and found one of yours about running some 36 idf webers on a 1.7 motor. I am interested in your experience as my son has a 1.7 ie motor which we are converting to run on carbies (long story why, won't bore you with the details). We have got a set of manifolds off a 1.5 motor, as well as a set of 36 idf carbies and all the shafts, airbox etc. What I was wondering is what changes to the jetting did you make? There would have to be a bit of a difference between the 2 motors and the last thing we want is for the thing to be running so lean that we start melting things. I realize that there are a lot of variables here with different camshafts and what the car will be used for but what I was after is a starting point.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
