    Ciao Francesco-

Hope all is well and that you've been driving your classics. My search for a nice Alfa Romeo 1750 Berlina continues. I have located what appears to be a well preserved example outside of Milan. Here is the link:

1970 Alfa Romeo 1750 Berlina TOP ORIG UNTOUTCH CAR INCREDIBLE CAR! 27000 KM for sale: Anamera

Are you familiar with the dealer, MaximilianKautomobili?

He has emailed me additional photos of the car and it looks good. I was hoping that perhaps you would be able to phone him and find out more details about the car and if possible go see the car in person. I would be very happy to reimburse you for your time and expenses.

Please let me know your thoughts. Hope to hear from you soon. Grazie!

    (Message continued)

Unfortunately, time and logistics do not allow me to travel to Italy at this time to inspect the car. Instead, I was hoping to find a trustworthy and knowledgeable Alfisti who be willing to assist me. I would of course, cover their expenses and a nominal fee for their time and effort. I realize you are based in Roma but hoped that perhaps you might know of such a person who could assist me with a pre-purchase inspection.

I realize that my request is rather forward and I hope that you will understand that I've contacted you because of your passion for Alfa Romeo as well as your locale. I would sincerely appreciate it if you could help me but if not, I'll understand. Thank you for your time and consideration. Regards,

    Ciao Francesco-

Due to text limitations on the AlfaBB, I needed to send you two private messages to convey the reason for contacting you.

I'm a fellow Alfa BB member in Chicago, Illinois. I recently sold my '69 Giulia Super. It was a very original car bought new and owned for 28 years by Ms Clara Macori in Roma. I purchased the car in Holland in 1999 while living in London and the shipped it to the U.S. Over the years, I've owned a few 1750 Berlinas and have decided to locate and purchase another one. There are few very few good ones (non rusted, preserved or restored) here in the U.S. Thus, I've been looking in Europe (via the Internet) for a nice example to purchase and import. I have exchanged many emails (and received detailed photos) from a dealer based in Pistoia who has what what appears to be a very nice car. (continued in next message)
