Chris, thanks for your response. To my knowledge there are definitely two and perhaps three Spider Veloces here. Two are restored, I haven't seen the other.

I have just collected the car, it needs some sorting - runs like a hairy goat - and will be in touch with more photos and history. The car in the photo is a Holden, made here. Imagine a shrunken 55/56 Chev and you get the picture.

Hi, My name is John Slater. I have just bought what I understand is a genuine Spider Veloce, chasis no 390816. It has disc brakes, 5 speed, badge on boot etc., so I think its genuine but am not sure. I was told it was a numbers matching car but have just researched the engine no, 0053605335 and discovered its from a Sprint GT. Do you consider this to be an issue?

Here is a photo of the engine bay, does it look correct to you?
