I am in Charleston and have seen other Alfas, but have yet to meet other Alfisti. I'm curious to know where any good drives are, or just to shoot the breeze with other Alfa guys, or help with a project or help me get motivated on mine!
I'm kind of feeling all alone in this city - so if you're in the Charleston area, please give a shout out, send a PM, let me know I'm not all alone here!

In Charlotte now, but...
...moved here from Charleston.
Great place, several Alfa's around the IOP, Mt Pleasant area I know of...
Find an Alfa mechanic, we are sooo lucky here, we have Guisepe at Alfa Import Center now!
The Alfisti will not be far away... ;-)

Saint Helena Island to the South
Hello from south of Chucktown.
We are tomato farmers down here on Saint Helena and have two or three more weeks of picking and packing. If ya'll want to head down here for a roadtrip/tomato tour of this island in the Lowcountry, then PM me and we'll talk.
My Alfa is in the shop after a F-150 backed into it, but we have a few Alfisti here in Beaufort too - male and female, younger and wiser, come-heres and been-heres.
We also have a great mechanic/parts collector on Hilton Head if anyone has any needs.
Just a suggestion,
Don

Hi Don and Charles -
It sounds like there are some lively Alfisti in the area - nice to hear back so quickly. I'm in Mt. Pleasant. I'd love to head down your way sometime soon, Don - my wife would love it too. We've been looking for an excuse to head down that way so when we are I'll let you know.
I've heard about Charleston Import Automotive in North Charleston - I do most of my own work, but once you've done water pumps and motor mounts a few times, I start looking for shops that can do it. I may be taking my Alfa there for motor mounts. They seem knowledgeable about Alfa's. But I cringe at writing checks for things I know I can do myself!
Would love to continue to hear about other resources in the area, mechinics and otherwise, as well as to hear from other Alfa owners.

I am now in Frederick, MD getting ready for the convention which is now underway. We were only temporarily in Chuck-Town and are now moving to Charlotte this summer.
Have a great one and good luck! If there are a few Alfisti in Charleston area, you should think of getting together and forming a small, local branch of the Mid-Atantic Alfa Romeo Club...they have branches in Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, Winston-Salem and the Hampton Roads (VA) areas.

Hi Charles - I bought this one up in Raleigh last October. It was about the only S4 Spider for sale within a few hundred miles. It had all the normal Alfa issues, but I've been sorting through them. At the time there were a lot of "pre-recession" priced cars out there (that look to be still for sale), and only one priced to sell. It's an automatic, which I didn't like at first, but I had the Alfa bug so bad and the price was right, so I bought it. What's the story on yours? I was looking for a black one! Looks good.

Black Alfa
I was looking for a fun car to drive to work once in a while and on weekends, something to tune up and work on, and I found this S4 out in the country where the folks looking to buy cars are thinking pick up truck and ford taurus, so the fella had it sitting for a while, I watched it for a month, then one day on a whim rode out to see it, and upon first start I was smitten!
I love this car, am having a ball with it. I have done; the suspension, yellow konis, poly bushing kit, front sway and springs, put a new top on it and have the Magna Flow exhaust on order from Simon here on the Alfa BB.
So its going, still so much to do, I'm just asking lots of question, watching Murray's video's, and trying to do the next right indicated thing... ;-)

Charles -
Missed you at the convention...I thought you were going to drive up.
You missed a good one - So...no excuses - Lexington is not that far from Charlotte - certainly not in comparison to Seattle, and I WILL be there - expect to meet you then!
