Alfa 33 Stradale wheels on Ebay

I have just listed this set of four magnesium Campagnolo wheels with this part number stamped on the reverse - 105.33.28.010.17.
Ebay.com - Item number: 130222953228

eBay Motors: Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale 13" Campagnolo magnesium wheels (item 130222953228 end time May-25-08 14:11:05 PDT)

Can anyone confirm if they are 33 Stradale wheels?
They have a "VDS" stamp on the front rim which made me think they came from the Belgium team VDS back in the late Sixties, who I believe raced a couple of 33's.
Any clues anyone?

Three little stamps do not a provenance make ... but this thread might make for interesting reading. Where did you find these, Richard?

33 Wheels

Someone who raced english sportscars in the UK saw a photo on our website of a GTam replica I used to own & called me up. He had had them for years amongst a collection of parts he'd bought & never known what Alfa they were for - when he saw the photo he recognised them. I bought them assuming them to be GTam wheels, but they're not!

Sounds like we've both had a lucky find or two recently. Do you have any factory literature which confirms your description of origin?

We know that 105.33 is the part number designation for Alfa 33 Stradale parts and given that the wheels are genuine magnesium & clearly at least 20 or 30 years old plus the Campagnolo markings & part numbers we assume them to be genuine. Plus, who would want to make reproduction 33 wheels 20 or 30 years ago??
The final thing which convinces me they are genuine is the faint VDS markings on the face of the wheels....They were indeed a lucky find!
