GTC's oil pressure problem on the way to solution

Thanks to Jay Mackro and this excellent forum there finally seems to be a solution found to the everlasting problem I have with my oil pressure.

As soon as I switch the ignition on the gauge goes to maximum.
I bought a new sender unit from Victor parts in France, another one from Alfaholics, all to no avail.
I changed the instrument, made new wiring, .... still no result.

Thanks to the forum I was contacted by Jay, who had exactly the same problem. He was able to trace it to the sender unit, as I suspected also,
and had the luck to have a bunch of them to try.

For my GTC I need a Veglia oil sender unit with the part number 64-5024 stamped on the back.

The 64-5024 senders put the needle at zero with everything hooked up. However, Veglia senders with part number10-03 send it to MAX.

Who has one for sale, anywhere in the world?
I'm also searching a complete propshaft for my car.

But is there an different prop shaft on a GTV, compared to a GT or GTV or the rest of the Giulia series

Would an in-line resistor in the wire between the sender unit and the gauge help the situation? Just a thought ...

Alex: It isn't a "scaling" problem. The two types of gauges (early vs late) work completely opposite. That is, the early gauges display zero pressure with the signal wire gounded (zero resistance), and maximum pressure with the signal wire open (infinite resistance). So, the early gauges show increasing pressure with increasing sender resistance.

The later gauges work the other way - displayed pressure rises as sender resistance falls.
