Robert,
Here is a photo of the original key for the doors. The make is Giobert and you can get those keys new, but the new ones have the same shape as these but are all metal without the Z on the back.
About the seats, I don't know since I don't have the original ones. I have been offered a full restored set but the price was out of my budget.

Robert -
Near as I can tell, it turns.
Upon returning from work today I looked, found what you referred to and turned it. It appears only to be a plastic star washer on the exterior of a screw. That prompted me to look up in the manual and JrZ books I have. Nothing new there.
Olaf???????
Where did the rest of you Jr Z owners go? Is it some kind of holiday I am not aware of?

Hey Don515z,Nicola + Nobz
Thanks for the replies.
The key pics are very helpfull.
A Junior Z in Japan.Wow.I bet it attracts a lot of interest.
Hopefully more Z owners can contribute to this forum.
Thanks Olaf, keep typing and add more stories.
OlAf put some pre production pics of the Z prototype with the Giulia ti sedan taillights.
Im glad they were not used.
Its a bit dark here= 4.30 am,so later I will post a pic of that screw on the seat adjuster so someone maybe can identify it and tell us what it does.
I think my LH seat adjuster is no good,=when I accelerate, the passenger and back of the seat go backwards= horizontal.
I just wanted to verify what the screw does before I pull it apart.
Thanks guys,
robert

Seat mechanism
Hi Robert,
Attached you will find a picture of the assembly of the seat mechanism of JZ 1801078 which belongs to another friend of mine and is being rebuilt as we speak. He is modifiyng the adjusters to make them less fragile. This picture might help as I didn't have a clou as to what the screw is for. Is the screw on the outside mechanisms with which you can adjust the seats or on the inside support brackets? If the screw with the plastic ring is on the outside mechanisms, it might fit in the hole in the outer casing on the righthandside of the picture. That's where the two cogs, that make the folding movement of the seat possible, are located.
I have the bold which is seen in this picture that makes it possible to fold the seat forward in order to reach the space behind the seats. My adjuster on the drivers side was fixed in one position by welding the cogs together (after the adjustment had broken). In a lot of cases the small axle, that locates the two cogs, has wear which makes it possible for the two cogs to slide past each other which will make the seat fold backwards when you don't want it to. We made a succesfull repair but the adjustment is still fragile (in his original form).
Any other members that can shine a light on this question?
Ciao, Olaf

Drawing of seat adjustment
Hello Robert/members,
Attached you will find a picture of the parts manual with the seat adjustment. It might solve the question as to where the plastic screw is situated. Is the screw the little round item above the hole in the outer casing of the adjustment?
Ciao, Olaf

Hi Olaf and all other Z lovers (14th February!)
the best you can do to my knowledge is removing the strong spring. This will reduce the dramatic tension that works on the mechanism. I believe the strong spring pushes the teeth from the mechanism to the outside causing a spontantious lay back behind the wheel!
As far as I know there will hardly be any wear in the mechanism. If the spring is removed the back of the chair will not move by it self forward though.
I placed a Lancia Fulvia mechanism on my drivers chair. That works perfect but it has no spring from new. It comes from an old Fulvia so I recon it is well used also. Lancia part is all chrome and because the Fulvia's (normal and Z) are produced in much larger numbers then the Alfa Z a little easier to obtain.
regards,
ZZ_junior.

remove the spring
Hello Robert and Frank,
That's a good tip Frank! Removing the spring. It removes part of the strain on the cogs and on the axle that causes the wear and tear. But don't forget that leaning against the seat will cause the same wear and tear. We have put in a new bronze bush to take out the the slack. It helps but isn't the permanent solution (will last years though).
The only permanent solution would be to change the mechanism and devide the force over the left and right side of the seat.
Ciao, Olaf
P.S. Robert: because we changed the subject in this thread from talking pictures to keys and seat adjusters, could you change the title of this thread and add keys and seat adjusters so that people can find the subjects that were discussed by us? Thanks!!

Hello All,
Nice thread here. Frist chance I have had to check out these BB postings. I recently purchased a very nice/complete 1971 Jr Z 1300cc (with 1750cc engine) from BC, Canada and will be restoring this Alfa in the near future here in Texas. Will get back with photos, etc.
Best Regards,
TexasAlfa
P.S. Jason, thanks for helping me locate this Alfa.

Hm, How come I just discovered this?
Here is my blue Junior Z, AR 3060020. All bone stock, including correct 1600 power plant and 90% original interior. The Campagnolos look quite flashy on the car. I have a set of five correct Junior Z wheels that I am currently resporing and then they go back on the car.
This is one of the cars from the Netherlands, that was imported from Italy in the late 90's. The car was owned by a Herman Aa Joppe. Does any of you Dutch guys know him? I bought it from the Alfa dealer Van Kooten.
The Dutch seem to love those and quite a few are there now. I was looking for one for 8 months and focused my the search on the Netherlands since the Junior Z there are in better condition than anywhere esle in Europe (Maybe Germany comes close). Rolf van Hillegondsberg helped me substantially finding and inspecting the right car. At the same time, AR3060281 was for sale: That was another very nice car and I wonder where it ended up.
One the seat mechanism: Does anybody have a spare one for the driver seat. A long time ago, mine gave in and was welded in poition. the position is perfectly fine but still not the best solution. Do the Fulvia mechanisms have the same look (Though chromed)?
