The problem with any number of SVZs is that they were restored in the 70s and 80s, and the body shapes are not quite right. The photo of 2289 (post #8) shows the way the later 1958 body style should really look. I believe that some of the cars are actually modern creations. The Scaglietti bodied car, S/N 1819 (post #3) is the car I want, but sadly, it disappeared many years ago..

First and foremost thank you for this remarkable post. It puts each of these cars in an understandable context, and serves as a great tool for discussion.
Regarding the car referenced here the nose is clearly not the same as the period photo. Could be a new nose. - Thanks again Martin, George

Thanks for the great post! Where did you ever find all the photos of the SV Scaglietti? The only photo I have ever found of the car was in the book "The Racing Giuliettas". Since it no longer exists (at least as far as we are aware), it would be nice if someone would make a miniature of it.

Thank you Martinue for opening this tread, and the willingness to share you knowledge with others.
Re:Svm #04718
Leonibus and Consten raced an Alfa Romeo at Le Mans in 1960, they participated in the class 1,1L. Probably an Conrero prepared car and engine. I don't know if it is the same car, but the connection to Conrero could be a tread.
If I my ad some pictures from the Conrero book, unfortunately I don't have the chassis numbers, but maybe someone can fill those in .
First picture: Carlo Peroglio at Zeltweg in Austria, the 2 pictures is from the same race, look at the numbers,69, at the side of the white Giulietta. It must be at the start. Unfortunately no year given
Second picture: Carlo Mario Abate at 8 Rally del Sestriere. No year given probably 1957.
Third picture: Goccia at la Aosta Pila, probably 1960
Forth picture: 1959 De Leonibus at Passo dei Giovi.
Fifth Picture: 1958 I think this is interesting as its given as Conrero 1600 GTZ, from Liege-Rom-Liege. Driven by Bernhard Consten and Herbert. Note the text on the Marchal add.
