Hi there. I have got a very nice Junior Z 1300 from '70. The headlamp plexi cover is cracked, I would like to get another/a new one. I read that AFRA can sell it to me. How do I get in touch with AFRA. best regards Kornerup ; Denmark.

Get in touch with Theo from the Junior Zagato register in Holland. AFAIK they do repros. They don't come cheap but they are accurate reproductions (including the cast-in part numbers).

rareparts.nl has them as well. They are not that expensive. My original one had a crack and I ordered two sets of them from rareparts. I think for Euro 150 per set (Or Euro 200?) and I got a 10% discount for ordering two.

The repros are quite nice and fit well. The plexi is thinner than the original one but I doubt anybody will know nor care.

Well I buy from Afra. They may cost more but you can get the stuff. The other guys don't reply to e mails and in any case I think the phone code for Holland is 31 and not 30.

hi guys

The project is slow in progress.
I have still to find a body shop that will make the repairs.

Anyway I've been gathering parts for the car. Already found a dash. Just need a set of seats...

I need to get some info about the color catalog. I've already found the catalog on the Zagato-cars site but I haven't found the yellow color lots of JZ have.

What code is it? was it part of the original catalog?

jpv,

Post # 46 of this sticky Click Here shows "Giallo Zagato", which is the color you are after. The post says it's AR117 but has a question symbol next to it so it may not be correct but I hope this helps!! My mother's first (owned 1991-94 or so) Jr. Z was in this color (her current one is in Bianco Zagato) and I love it!! By the way, what's the original color of your Jr. Z?

It was Bianco Zagato. But I'm not too fond of that color.

I think that the desing of the car suits to bright vivid colors than the bland white or grey...

I don't want red because I already have 2 red alfas in the garage...

The rest of the stuff I'm not sure. I'm still comparing photos to see...

I'm not very worried about the body because the guy that I usually go to fix my cars bodywork is very good. He fabricates door panels and sills by hand for the GT Bertone. I'm hopping that he can save the damage on the Zagato.

I have sent a mail to the Alfa Romeo Historic Archive and they said the original color is white AR014.

here are some photos of the interior of my car. The dash was upholstered by somebody and, because of that, it doesn't fit very well.

three questions about the interior:

- Is the rear view mirror the correct part?
- Are the door cards correct?
- Does this car have sun visors?

Yesterday I started the engine for the first time. It is fine, it just needs a fuel pump and carb tune up.

Thanks for the info! Please post some pics of yours!
A Junior Z front trim piece just sold on ebay in the last month and it looked to be in great condition. I know it doesn't sound possible but check the completed listing section...

here is some progress...

I've been removing the engine. But I'm having some dificulties. The engine needs to tilt a bit more to get out but the gearbox interferes with the flywheel.
I think I'm going to lower the gearbox to get the sucker out...
