Actually it's my mother with my father on the other side of the phone.

But the conversation was following similar lines:

"yeah it's a bucket of rust"
"he says it has a 2 liter engine and LSD... Is that good?"
"it doesn't look good in black but it's cute"
"the painting on the bonnet is awfull, you have to take that off!"
"someday, he's going to take over the laundry room to fill it up with cars and parts!"

eheh...

Hi

Just an update.

Found some missing parts! Already have them at home.
I still need some info on other parts. I managed to obtain the plexi grille and chrome trim and some other exterior parts.
I need some info on the sun visors: what are there dimensions? could the sun visors of a spider, GT or Berlina fit?

The wiring is already sorted out.

Now I need to fit a new fuel pump and free the stuck clutch pedal... is it normal floor pedals freeze?

next month the car is running... And then I will have to take it all a part to repair the body!

I have bought two 105 series cars that had frozen pedals as a result of water ingress into the cabin, soggy carpets and ultimately rust and corrosion. Its pretty easy to free them up on a RHD car, in my experience - but are the master cylinders in the JrZ under the floor, or in the engine bay?

They're just like an ordinary floor pedal 105 car: Aluminium floor pedal assembly with the clutch master cylinder under the floor and the brake master cylinder also under the floor but inside the transmission tunnel.

Could the clutch MC be frozen?

I haven't had time to look at it yet. Going to try to do that tonigth...

Thanks!

I think that its more likely the pedals are frozen at the pivot, but I'm not going to offer too much advice because I think the left hand drive car's pedal arrangement is different to left hand drive, so perhaps one of the US guys should chime in here...

Joao:

The sunvisors seem to be from a GTV of the period, I've bought a couple of sets from GTV guys over the years that fit into the Jr. Z. I've seen some Zs with mirrored passenger sides, some without, some with white upper sides & black lowers, some with all black. Might be because of replacement over the years, or maybe what Zagato was able to get from Alfa at the time of assembly.

well,

today I took some time to analyse the clutch pedal and MC:

The pedal is a bit on the stuck side but still moves.

The MC on the other hand is completely frozen... I've manged to release it from the body but the fluid lines are still stuck. Gave them a bath of WD40 to see if they free up a bit... Tomorrow I'm going to see if they loosen or not...

What do you guys think?

I'm working on the mechanics before starting to fix the bodywork.
The brakes have been overhauled and now I have to start on the engine.

The engine looks good, it isn't frozen. It needs a new clutch MC.

The car came full of surprises! It has a 2000cc engine with an LSD diff and big brakes. It has a sump guard a box full of extra parts! It also has a pair of K&N air filters and yellow KONI rear shocks...

Unfortunantly it has a roof window (I don't know how you call it in english...).

I want to restore the car to original spec. I think the car was originaly red but I prefer "medium blue" AR328...

The bonnet has this funny pic painted on the top...

I'll be posting some pictures of the repair...
here is my if you need seals I found them at good price.

Hey! Didn't saw your post here!

Do you have good pictures of your dash? the plastic facia and the sheet metal part.

Unfortunantly my plastic facia is missing and the PO drilled the sheet metal.

I don't have a clue the location of the holes for the gauges. Anyone can make measurments?

Thanks!

The cardboard would be great!

I'm also from Europe although I live in the corner of the continent: Portugal. It's a bit far from the center...

Do you know some dash for sale?

Thanks!
