Uh, uh. That Style Auto is one I've been looking for for long time. The problem is that I didn't keep record of its number and date. Could you please give me the full reference?
|
This article and the drawings are in issue #28, June 1971.
<a href="http://img34.exs.cx/my.php?loc=img34&image=bb-31.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://img34.exs.cx/img34/8494/bb-31.th.jpg" border="0" alt="Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us" /></a>
Good luck! And watch out that the fold-out poster with the blueprints is included, as it was a supplement.
Btw, I just saw the complete collection of all issues for 2000 Euro.
Best regards
Ciao Carlo

Thanks:
I will try and find a couple of copies of #28 here locally. I know of someone who has a bunch of Style Autos, but I don't know what issues he has..

Are there any other Alfa based 'kit cars' or 're-creation cars' that anyone knows about?
I am in Italy now but when I was in the States I kept hearing about a few shops here that were putting out a few fakes. I dont mind that if they are known fakes. Does anyone have any names or numbers of the builders that I could try to track down over here?
I have just enough room left for a nice TZ2 in my garage.
The brits are kit car crazy but nothing Alfa based. As much as I love Cobras....I dont want one

thats a sharp eye you have there dretceterini...your ability to spot obscure italian machinary never fail to impress. heres a pic of the shop
yes thats the same one at pebble beach. I believe it was given to the shop in CT (anyone else out there want to give me there stradale?) This is one of the 3 stradale I've seen. I still have not seen the Arese Musseo 4 headlamp stradale which is my favorate. I what I always forget is how small they are... about the size of a 206SP dino...(another fantastic looking car) which is a couple of notches smaller than the 246 gt street car

I don't think this is the same car that was at Alfas Unlimited in CT. Here is a pic taken about 10 years ago with yours truly sitting at the wheel (no, I didn't get to drive it!!!!!!) Anyway, that particular car went to Belgium several years back if I remember correctly. Unless changes were made, you can see the mirrors are different, as are the door windows......

Hello, everybody. (My first posting here:-)
There`s this guy in Sweden, who builds fantastic replicas. The latest rumour is that after finishing a Disco Volante and a TZ1, he will build a 33/2 Daytona.
I have seen a few of his cars (Ferrari 250 TdF, and 250 Testarossa) and he knows what he`s doing...
Check out his website www.motorima.com
