Hello TZ-1,
Welcome on the bulletin board!
It would be nice if you gave us an introduction so we know who we are talking to. Your profile doesn't reveal anything and that will not encourage me to give information of any kind.
You write that you are restoring a TZ-1. Great! Which one is it? Any pictures of the car and the seats so we can be of better assistance?
I hope we will be hearing from you.
Ciao, Olaf

Welcome to AlfaBB, Jim!
A past TZ discussion on AlfaBB created some rather thorny problems for some members and owners of AlfaBB -- the escalation of which has led to the deletion of some posts and threads and the banning of an apparently fairly litigious person. This history is the reason why you may initially encounter some rather guarded responses. So, please be patient when people ask for specific information or pictures of what you need to know. I have a hunch some very knowledgeable and helpful people are following this thread and may eventually chime in if they come to believe they're not wasting their time.

Hello Ruedi and Jim,
Welcome to the bulletin board Jim. I second the words Ruedi said. Couldn't have said it better!
I attached an old picture from TZ-1 750005 where the seats a partly visible. Then some pictures from TZ-1 750022 in the Alfa Romeo museum with seats partly visible. These pictures came from members here at the bulletin board. Other members must have much better pictures of their cars' seats.
Ciao, Olaf

They look very similar to the Ti Super seat, don't they. Perhaps they even ARE the same. In any case, what was the name of that company making these seats? I recall a sub-$800 price tag and a location in the USA, but nothing more than that.

The seats are a typical design used and made by Zagato in many of the cars they bodied; 1900 SSZ, SZ, Abarth 750 and so forth. I remember a company in Poland making modern replicas and selling via eBay of all places/

I would say the seats were built by Zagato.
The interior of the Ti Super was designed by Zagato.
Kind regards.

The Bob Alexander car ... there was an article on the car in the mid to late 60's in a Canadian motor magazine about the car - can't remember if it showed an interior shot or not.
The last two pics in post #6 are probably the most correct upholstery version for the majority of TZ's. The frames of SZ, TZ and TI Super seats seems at the very least similar. My understanding is that the seats were copied from a WW2 fighter seat design.
Romeo Racing in Milano had a whole basement full of these seat frames at one time - I assume replicas. Some of the charcoal grey vinyl available through Re-originals, but also from Italian suppliers, seems to be a good match.
I believe #60 owned by Marnix Dillenius has an original interior among others.

Hello members,
As a comparison, some pictures of Ti Super seats. I kept the original titles with the pictures so the owner knows it are his photographs. Source of the pictures is Internet/Alfabb.
Ciao! Olaf
