6C2500 SS Touring Convertible (915527) -- History ?

Hi,

I'm still trying to identify the "6C2500 SS Touring Cabriolet", which has been in the Dovaz collection "Sleeping Beauties". The car was sold by Dovaz in late 1990 / early 1991, so it should be still alive.

On the other hand, there are only three known 6C2500 SS Cabriolets by Touring. Two (915507, 915529) have their headlights positioned much more to the middle. The third one (915527) is the only one, that looks like the Dovaz car. When it was for sale, the given information said, that it had been restored by an italian, named Serventi, ten years ago (~1997).

So the looks and the known dates of 915527 would fit with the Dovaz car. On the other hand, an employee of last years dealer, told me 915527 was not Dovaz' car.

Does anyone know, where 915527 was in the 1980s ??? This might proof, if the Dovaz car is 915527 or a commonly unknown twin.

PS : of course the "wreck" is the Dovaz car. The restored one is 915527.
