Raoul San Georgi, who lives not far from where the meeting was held, has a number of 6c2500s.

The transporter was for most of the "Italian" cars that participated at the meeting. The drivers came by plane (Milano-Bergamo to Charleroi) and their lovely cars did the trip on the transporter... This afternoon it will be in the opposite direction ! Yesterday we visited the Louwman Collection in Raamsdonksveer in the Netherlands... and this morning we will have a nice trip in the Antwerp region. And the weather seems to be (again) excellent...
The blue PF car is from Gippo Salvetti , (Alfa Blue Team Milano) who is also ready with his second "Alfazioso" book... "Numbers" will follow...
I will come back later on the Forum with more info.

And....yes my Freccia d'Oro book is ready.... it was officially presented last friday night at the wellcome dinner in our townhall.

Luc Colemont
co-organisator of the Raduno in Antwerpen

Raoul (San Giorgi) and his wife Katrien did an outstanding job !!

I hadn't seen this topic and started a new one in the General Forums/Events forum.

Anyway, here's my contribution:

Click here for all of my pictures (or here for a slideshow, 128 pics)

A little preview:

Three shades of Alfa Rosso

Colombo 12 cilinder on a 6c chassis...

...under a Castagna body.

More impressions:

The locations are the gardens of a very fine house outside Antwerp and the National Automobile Museum in Raamsdonksveer in the Netherlands. All pictures are taken on saturday.

Thank you Carlo.
I suppose that you was present. My guess was Castagna, but a 1750 , no . The air vent, on engine hood point to Castagna. Thanks for informing Its a very progressive design related to a 1750, in my oppinion.
A very late one I suppose

It's one of the more striking designs I've seen on one of those chassis, and that Colombo engine makes the history even more interesting. But that firewall has certainly had an eventful life ... I wonder what the car looked like before the mammoth restoration? That would be just as revealing to know ...

Alex.

Obviously the motor number on the cahssis plate isn't the number of the motor currently in the car. Does anyone have the current motor number.

Corrado Lopresto, owner of the car, told me that in the nearby future an article will appear in AutoItalia magazine, written by Simon Moore and I am sure he will tell us the story of this unique Alfa... Contacts were also made for an article in the Dutch "Klaverblaadje", outstanding club magazine of the SCARB. And even the people from Ruoteclassiche are waiting for an article.
And there is some more good news for the overseas (viewed from Europe...) people... The car will participate at....Pebble Beach this year...
And the winner will be......!!???

At the Raduno here in Antwerp Corrado even met the man who had this car in his garage 30 years ago...
