6C2500 Chassis 915005

I found this add in the British Magazine Classic and Sportscar from December 1987.
Interesting prices.
Does anybody know anything about the 6C2500 Chassis 915005 Touring Body 2301

6C2500 Chassis 915005

This is what I found in the Volume Three, First and Second Quarters 1997 newsletter of the "International Alfa Romeo 62500 Register" :

""We visited a panelbeater nearby (i.e. in Holland), where Raoul San Giorgi's 1939 Sport Touring Berlinetta (915005) is stored, awaiting its restoration. The car is in complete and well-preserved condition and will make a very worthwhile restoration project. I recall that the car was offered to me in 1986 by a young architect in Calgary who had inherited the car from his grandfather Elmer Leigh in Denver, who had owned the car for many years."

this was written by Mal Harris

kind regards,

Luc Colemont

Luc:
If Raoul got the car and had it properly rstored, he probably still has it, and has somewhat more than what it is worth invested. I understand that his 1939 6c2500 Le Mans REPLICA (on a real 6c chassis) sold for almost a half-million dollars!!!

Thank you for the info Luc Colemont. According to Anselmi it was in original condition in 1992. It probably means that it still was waiting for restoration at that time.
Its an interesting as one of the earlier Tipo Sport

It was for sale in 1998 in Holland. These are photos I took in October of that year. Don't know what happened thereafter.

Intesting point, as I was looking at the photos, if you look at the two ends of the car, you can see holes for where they are to be mounted. Lets see, minus hundred thous...that works out to a nice inexpensive car. *in my dreams*
