Freccia d'Oro
Hi Alfisti,
Since a few years, I am working on a Freccia d'Oro Register. I hope to publish this in a book next year for my 50th birthday. At present I have 44 registered Freccia's with pictures... Any help or any documentation about the first post-war Alfa Romeo is wellcome !!! "50 for 50" would be nice !
Anybody knows what happened with the Carrera-Panamericana Freccia's (1950)
And what about the Godfather Freccia d'Oro ?
Thanks for your help.

Luc:
Contact Mal Harris in Seattle, who ran the most recent 6c2500 register, and Peter Marshall in England, who does a very occassional 6c2500/1900 newsletter.
There was a scruffy one at Diro's Alfa shop in the south bay area of Los Angeles about 10 years ago, but I don't have the S/N.

Hi
why don't you ask R.I.A.R. Registro Italiano Alfa Romeo Arese, Italy?
Best Regards

Welcome, Luc.
I guess you already cooperate with Raoul San Giorgi, who lives near your place, and runs the Dutch 6C2500 register.
But I seize the occasion to ask for news about your miniatura site...

There'll be a Freccia d'Oro on display at the Geneva show. I'll take some pics when I'm there Tuesday.

Not my car, no financial interest...

There was one at Diro in the south bay area of Los Angeles about 20 years ago. Not sure where it is now...

I swung by Santo's shop to view the ancient princess and managed to snap about 84 images of the car. If anyone is interested follow the link below.
Congratulations on the new purchase Dirk. She's a beauty!

Great shots, Simon. One wonders why the seller diddn't think it was worth to show so many details.

You have to remember this is the same owner who put the V-8 engine in there.

Great photos. My impression of the car from these is much better than those posted with the auction .So much so that I'd have been tempted to put her in my driveway.
Can anyone speak to the originality of the mirrors? Certainly great deco pieces..

I have never seen those mirrors on an Alfa before. To me, they look French, and of an earlier time period than the car itself. They do look great, however. I also agree that the car looks to be in better shape than in the pictures posted on e-bay. I agree that a 2600 engine would be more appropraite than the V-8, and would be less likely to break something expensive in the drivetrain.
