Where is this car?

This Nardi Alfa coupe, S/N 9484 has Mille Miglia history, but later came to the US. It is possible that there are 2 almost identical cars, but one of them supposedly has been sitting in Kagel Canyon, north of Los Angeles for many years. I have been up there many times, but was never able to find it.
Anyone know more??

Wayne Nardi-Alfa engined coupé s/n 948/4 came to Argentina in 1951 for the Costanera race where it arrived 11th. driven by Hall Ullrich. (17.03.1951)
It was also driven by Froilán González in practice.
After the race it returned to the US.

Regards.
Cris.-

Yes, I am familiar with the history of the car in the US. It is my understanding that in the mid 1960s the car was owned by someone in the San Fernando valley of Los Angeles, and is sitting in Kagel Canyon, near the Hansen dam. The last US race I am aware of was on the east coast, and the one prior to that was Torrey Pines, in 1956.

That was the only thing I could add.
We also have pitures of Hall Ulrich driveing it as well as Froilán González.

When it came to Argentina it had a Chevy engine (Wayne) not the Alfa.

Regards.

I've gone and looked for this car many times in the past. I usually park my car and walk around with a picture of it and ask if anyone's seen it. I get a lot of wierd looks and "no" answers, but one day I'll bump into the right person. I'll probably start up again this spring.
