Early 1950s Alfa, looks like a V8 though I didn't count cylinders.
Can you ID it, at least to type? The restorer suggested it won at least its class at the Mille Miglia. Looks like it could have, too.
Stu, do you remember Charlie Fox in IAAM?
Yes, I remember you from some of the meetings at the carbook store in Burbank. I haven't lived in southern California for almost 5 years. Some 30-40 years ago, I was very involved in the IAAM, but after that time all I did was occassionally go to meetings. I haven't built anything in at least 5 years, but I still have a small collection.
There is an other Worblaufen, who has produced on 6C2300 back in the 30, and also some on the 1900 chassis, I attach 2 1900, bad picture quality.
Were there beside these 2 cars other 1900 (or Giulietta??) based Worblaufen cars made? Is there some more more information known about them (especially the upper one which is totally new to me), how many were built,...? And are other pictures available besides the 3 below?
Were there other Swiss coachbuilders (Graber?) besides Ghia Aigle who made cars on a post-war Alfa Romeo basis (1900, Giulietta,..)?
I am unaware of any post-war Alfas built by Graber or any other Swiss coachbuilders other than Ghi-Aigle and Worblaufen. The 2 cars pictured are 1900s.
