Unknown Alfa 6c2300B MM at 1938 Pontedecimo-Giovi hillclimb

This one came out of the new book on the Pontedecimo-Giovi hillclimb car is driven by someone named Gambara (no idea who he is). I have never seen a photo of this car before...it's an 8c2300B MM spider by Touring

Did they copy some of the features of this car when they built the Jaguar 120?

Dear Sir:

Your book is SUPERB. I do find it difficult to believe however that a car with S/N 700624 (a 6c2300 "A") was first registered on 24 July 1939. It must have had a previous owner and a previous registration number.

Best Regards,
Dott.Ing.Stuart Schaller

Dear mr Shaller , i don't understand what is not clear for you , attached on the other tread there is the docs of the PRA about that plate number , and i've posted the pict of the car in 1937 with the same plate number and same driver.

Angelo Parodi (Gambaro) was owner of the car in 1937 !

Can you explain me better what you mean ?

Dear Nicolo:

6c2300"A" Pescaras were built in 1934 or 1935. 6c2300B Mile Miglias were built in 1937 or 1938.

The serial number 700624 relates to a 6c2300"A" Pescara (solid rear axle) built in 1934 or 1935 and not a 6c2300B Mille Miglia (rear swing axle...the chassis numbers for 6c2300Bs begin with the number 8) built in 1937 or 1938...so when was the first registration on this chassis number, and to whom?

I understand the car was registered to Parodi in 1937 with registration number GE 20118
Who was it registered to before 1937, and with what registration number?

Thank You,
Dott.Ing.Stuart Schaller

Hello Mr. Schaller,
the 700.624 was made by Alfa Romeo at July 1935 and was registered, for the first time, at 26 July 1935, in Genoa with number: GE 20218.
The problem is the bad handwrite who mistake 5 with 9. On reality is 1935 and the car belong at Society Angelo Parodi from 27 July 1935 to 10 March 1947.
The Genoa’s number issued during 1935 are around GE 19700-GE 21000, while during 1939 are between GE 27700-GE 30000.
For example in the perfect book around 8C 2300 by Simon Moore, you can seen at page 598 for the s/n SF 30 an immatriculation GE 21138 issued at March 1936 !
Many thanks at Mr. Freccia d’Oro for the trust and for.....fantastic book around Pontedecimo.

Very interesting information. There were only 60 6c2300 "A" Pescaras built, according to Fusi.

The "Rometsch" Alfa 6c2300 "A" Pescara may actually have been bodied by Erdmann & Rossi and NOT Rometsch.

Beeskow (the designer of the body) worked for Erdmann & Rossi, and the re-body may date back as far as the late 1930s or early 1940s!

The owner of the car is trying to find a photo of the car with the German license plates...
