gauge sender units

doing some fault diagnosis with my 66 gt spring velove gauges.

The fuel / oil pressure gauges go to full scale as soon as the ignition key is turned (even beofr motor is running). Checked the back and all connections including earth are connected and tight - any suggestions?.

Also the sender units for the temp gauge has me stumped. There is one sender screwed into the front of the inlet manifold - I understand the original position for the water temp sender. there is also another sender screwed into the hex head plug at the back and top of the head (inbetween the the pairs of head nuts and inline with the spark plugs) I initially thought this was the oil temp sender but I would have thought those plugs close off the water jacket not the oil ways? I cant seem to find an oil temp sender anywhere else on the motor. Can anyone tell me what this sender plugging that hole in the head is being bathed by (oilor water) and where the original oil temp sender should be.

BTW it is a 1600cc motor but not a proper GTV one - I think it is out of an early 1600 alfetta
thanks
andrew
