central locking

In know some of you will want to ban me for doing this bu hey,

I bought remote central locking for my gt, but as you might suspect it's not a straight bold on. So my guestion, has anyone done this before if so do you have any pics of where you hooked the motor up to the lock??

it's only 2 doors of locking why complicate it, why add weight, why?

Why add weight and complicate it? this from a guy who wants to drop a 12cyl into a gtv, i think your both out to lunch, but hey different strokes for different folks, its all good.

How much added weight are we talking about for heaven's sake! Lay off the happy meals and you'd more than make up for it (that's directed to myself BTW).

I really think this is one of those really practical options that would not affect performance or appearance. I have not tried it but the installation can't be any more intimidating than any car of that era. Hotrodders are doing it all the time.

Do it and report back!

I installed central locking in other cars, and it is doable. You will have to think how to connect the actuator to the metal rod that goes between the lock and the handle, and drill a hole through the door and A pillar to feed through the electrical wires.

For the first part, perhaps you can do something with a cable (like the one that opens the trunk), since you have to find a place for the actuator in the door where it does not interfere with the window.

Next step is to install electric windows???
