Do a search and read some of the threads on turbocharging. I'm definately not an expert but it seems that it either costs a fortune or it's done on the cheap and the next several years are spent "tweeking" with the car never really making it back on the road as a driver. If you just want to power AC, it would probably make more sense to locate a 1750 or 2L engine to rebuild. The 2 liter would require a special flywheel or throwout bearing adaptor to make it work with the mechanical clutch. If you can pick up the car cheaply, I'd worry about getting it running and stopping and use the vent windows for AC for the time being.

Thank you for the good advice Bill, you are obviously quite wise. What of the radio though? Would I have to do any major rewiring to accommodate it?
