GTV 2000 Rear Bumper Help?

Can anybody help my source those plastic blocks that are used to connect the rear bumper to the body of my 1972 GTV 2000? Mine are all broken up and I am not even sure they are the correct ones as they don't seen to fit correctly. They interfere with the rivets that hold the 3 piece bumper together. Any information or pictures of correct ones greatly appreciated.

Barry,
I've attached a couple of photos of the ones off my 1750GTV - I believe that they are the same as the ones on the 2 litre cars.
The part numbers are 105.44.59.461.10 (LHS & stamped 61) and 105.44.59.462.10 (RHS & stamped 62).
You will also need a pair of spacers 105.44.59.463.10 (LHS & stamped 3) and - yep you guessed it - 105.44.59.464.10 (RHS & stamped 4).
I got a second hand set for the front bumper of my car from Chris Sweetapple at Highwood in the UK (Highwood Technologies Inc.) and I guess he should have the rears as well.
They seem to be made from bakelite which makes them hard and brittle - maybe some primitive attempt at impact protection, but then the bumper mounting bolts go right through to the body of the car .....
Hope this helps,
Chris

PS: Sorry about the shadows in the photos.

Thanks Chris!
I do not have the spacers at all. Is their purpose to extend the bumper out further from the body? Also can you tell me if the hole where the bolt passes through is in the center or offset? Sure do appreciate your help!

Barry,
The big ones (63 & 64) go between the bumper and the body and the spacers go between the bumper and the over-riders which, being a 2000GTV, your car will have.
I've copied a page from the parts catalogue that explains all - I probably should have done this first instead of piddling around with a camera, but it took me a while to find a catalogue with decent photos rather than just a parts list.
I'm not sure which spacer hole is used. You may have to experiment until it looks right - it's an Italian car, it's meant to be fun .....
Good luck - I'm sure you'll sort it out.
Let us know how you get on,
Chris

That helps tremendously!
I have contracted Chris and he has the fronts and is checking to see if he has the rears. My plan is to remove the overriders so I won't need the extra spacers. Thanks again for your help!

Cheers,

I think you will probably need the spacer blocks regardless. I took my rear bumper off. The overriders, though minimum protection, hide the rivet line. I replaced mine with stainless short carridge bolts. No rear end protection, but IMO a better look. I got the spacer blocks from DiFatta Bros in Baltimore. One of my original blocks was actually wood.

Good luck.

I have never seen the small blocks that go between the bumper and the overrider. I have asked several persons, and they haven't seen them either.
