A few years ago I needed a tail section for my GTV. Remo didn't have it, I tried to order one from Centerline which was also b/o, but anyways a tail section has to be shipped by UPS, meaning heavy brokerage fees.
I ordered one from Stebro, avoiding the cross border shipping. It came out not much more expensive than a mild steel section with shipping etc. included. Of course this is specific to canadian Alfisti.
The Stebro tail section fits well, has a slightly deeper tone than the OE piece, and is loud without the middle muffler.
The name Stebro has been around since the late 50's when Montrealers Peter Broeker and Frank Reisner created a sports muffler company. Frank proceeded to create Intermeccanica, Peter carried over making mufflers until his early death in 1980.
Peter Broeker had also built a formula junior called Stebro, and managed to enter it in the 1963 US Grand Prix.
A Swiss Alfa+Maserati mechanic called Andy Petschenig bought Stebro's assets many years later and used the name (and little else) on a line of stainless steel exhaust systems, starting with Alfa applications.
