Would your GT(V, Jr, etc) make it across the country with no problems??
I recently read a thread about would your spider make it across the country with no problems.
(Here)
Here's the exact same thread, for GT's.
Would your GT make it across the country with no problems?
Definite maybe, I'm almost sure something would break, especially something of the rubber nature.

Mine already did. Drove it across a few years ago with my daughters, we did the southern route in the middle of the summer, through Death Valley at 125 degrees, Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, etc etc. We all had a great time, and the car never missed a beat, nor did it ever show any signs of overheating in the extreme heat.
I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

Not a doubt in my mind it would make it cross country. Great cars if you maintain them.
About one year ago, I rented a 1,500 mile, new, 2007 Cadillac Northstar engined POS and drove to Vegas. Will never do that again. What a pile of junk! I'll trust the Alfa first...

I would take mine anywhere. I have made several thousand-mile weekend trips in it to and from SoCal for AROSC time trials and driver's schools, and never gotten stuck.
I've owned my car for 13 years and have checked over, or been through, pretty much every system, so I know its condition and that it's likely to be reliable. That's not the case with all old Alfas though. I've taken my Giulia Super and Berlina on similar journeys without incident.
On a Spica car, on a long trip I'd bring a spare fuel delivery pump, rear filter, fuel hose, points and fuses, Spica belt, and some tools.

Dang, how can a country be that small? I went on a 1500-mile trip this weekend and barely got out of California.

Ha ha,
If you did 1500 miles here it would be beach view all the way and you'd pass where you began half way through the journey!
Ahh, small is beautiful

I'm jiving, but it does take some conceptual readjusting when moving from country to country.

Hehe my car probably would, but the police won't be too keen on having an unlicensed race car cross the country! (it is fully 'roadworthy' though, all the lights and things works. just have no need to register her)
