GTV4EVR:

My point in mentioning the skinny 155X15 tires was simply that these were the widths of tires when the Sprint-GTV body & chassis were designed. Sure, later versions of these cars came with 14" wheels, but back in that era, even 14" tires were pretty narrow. I guess Alfa did cut the rear wheel arches higher on the later cars - did that change coincide with the switch from 15" to 14" wheels?

I'm glad to hear that you haven't had any problems with tires as wide as 205-60/14. However, it is my sense that clearance is highly individual to each car, dependent on wheel offset, differential centering, and of course, ride height. While 205's work OK on your car, they might not on someone else's.

New Ride Height

Just thought I'd follow up on this thread. I did cut the left-rear spring and the limit straps. I'm really happy with the ride height and performance with the new bushings and somewhat lower COG.

Thanks again for the advice.

That does look a lot better than your previous pictures.
