Sprint GT '64: nose questions

Hi

I hope that you can help me with some issues regarding the frontend.

Part 1: The headlamps frames

Since i don't have them, i am in need for any information regarding them: close up photos, how they are attached to the nose or if i can find them somewhere for sale. I've studied (and collected) a lot of photos, and I have an idea about how they look, but more detailed info will not harm . The lamps and the buckets are available new, so they are not a problem.

Part 2: The grill

This is the correct grill for that year, right ?

Again, some detailed photos will help. Maybe some measurements (the distance between bars).

About the center grill, i guess it was the same on all stepnose cars (exc. gta).

Part 3: The hood

What is the distance marked in the attachment ? (down in the photo).

I know that i'm asking too much, but there is no other place where i can find these things.

Many thanks,

Catalin,
Romania

Hi Catalin,
I'm sure you will get some helpful answers to these questions. I am at work so can only answer the ones that dont require me going out to my car to measure!
The grille shown is correct for a '64. It is made of four separate pieces and is fairly fragile as it is made of chromed potty(?) steel. Farily hard to come by but again as around on this forum and one may turn up. As for the centre grille heart. The one shown is correct for an early sprint GT like yours. It has six horizontal bars and the latter stepfront cars have 7 bars.
Is it just the headlight frames you need? I am sure someone will be able to cut some off a parts car for you. Usually people are looking to replace the whole front panel which can be expensive although in the last year a reproduction panel has been produced and is sold by alfa parts places like Alfaholics and Classic Alfa etc.
