Does anyone know if Hella, Cibie, Bosch etc have headlights for a 1750 S2?? With the 3 tabs like the Carello or an alternative that includes the bucket?? This is for RHD! (australia)

Thanks

hey dble071960

I just converted from carellos to H4 (im pretty sure thats what they are)
I also have a RHD car and sourced these lights pretty easily from a smashed semi trailer, which was hit from behind (LUCKY ME).

Its pretty much a straight conversion. The hardest bit is sourcing the trim and the bucket which the Light sits in. Its probably best if you find another car which uses these buckets & front trim (Holden Kingswood?)

Will Post Pics if need, cant be bothered at the moment

.... many thanks! Pics would be good if/when you get a chance... no rush.

Would be nice to have a set of lights that can be replaced easily and cheap from the local speed shop.

Regards

Mark

There are plenty of 105 Alfas not running Carellos. I have a set of inner buckets here with Hellas fitted and I dont think its too much of a big deal, you can also find RHD SIEMs on ebay from time to time but I think you should be right if you visit Repco and have a yarn with someone half-way knowledgeable.

....many thanks....

Repco is a good start.... I thought I had seen other lights on the 105 over the years.... have had many 105's, but not in the last 15 years!

Mark

I failed my MOT (UK yearly car test) because one of the headlights was for LHD cars. I simply unscrewed it, and rotated it so the 'upsloping' part of the beam pattern became the flat part, and vice versa.

The MOT man was happy, I was happy. Obviously I'd prefer a proper unit, but hey, when this one gets broken I'll treat myself. If you can't source the correct one you could try this.

will

The UK Alfa suppliers have aftermarket replacement sealed beams for about 29 quid if I remember correctly. With the strong Aussie dollar that might be the simplest solution.

try these guys...

Classic Alfa Romeo cars
Classic Alfa Romeo Parts & Spares Worldwide - Bertone, Spider & More
Alfa Romeo Parts and Spares www.highwoodalfa.com

They probably all have them, and they're all great to deal with. Chris at Highwood ships stuff unbelievably fast, I've had stuff arrive in 3 business days from his shop in Wales to my place in Melbourne!!

Hella H4 fit straight in and would be cheaper than buying from the UK!
