Sheet Metal and suspension

Hi list, well my72 finally arrived home today. Its still at customs but I got to drive it around. Not good news, plugs have oil and front suspension is toast.
Rest of the car is OK but trunk compartment has rust like water crakers. So:

1. Is there a source for sheet metal parts? I checked at the usual no luck!
2. I need to rebuild front suspension and need a brakedown diagram of parts
is this available on the BBS or a link?

Thanks, Enrique II

You may want to check the IAP, Centerline, and Vick Auto catalogs. They have pretty decent diagrams.

Cheers,

Wolf Steel has been mentioned numerous times on this BB.....research carefully by using the search tool

You say you checked the usual with no luck? There are numerous suppliers in the US, UK, Germany and Italy who can get many parts that may not be listed on their websites...a call to them may be in order instead...don't get disillusioned too quickly.

Now which parts are you in need of exactly?

I am looking for the sheet metal that surrounds the spare wheel compartment.

Those parts are most likely NLA. Try getting it from a donor car...give APE a call and see what they've got available. You could also try calling Daron Walker (a.k.a. AKITAMAN)...he may have one kicking around...you never know.

The sheet metal around the spare wheel is straight, and not too difficult to make out a plain metal sheet. The central reinforcement is more tricky.
