Headlight upgrades

I was wondering what are the tried and true ways to go about upgading your lighting? I have a 1969gtv the stock lighting is feeble at best. I was hoping that there might be a combination of parts that works well without too much strain on the current set up or an upgrade that takes that into account (maybe a kit or something)

Check the website for Daniel Stern Lighting and dig around a bit. There's a lot of good info there. I bought Cibie H-4 units from him and installed them in my Spider and it made a world of difference over the stock sealed beam units. I had intended to install relays at the same time (bought the kit from Stern) and haven't yet found the time to install it. Soon.
Others here have installed HIDs in their cars and they can speak to that. Once you've improved the lighting in any way, though, you'll wonder how you did without.

There is a great technical article written by a guy in the South Australian Alfa club chapter, but it is off line at present when it is back on line I will post it to the BB. They way its done requires you to cut away your old light and attach the base to a modern light, its radical but it means that you can upgrade to new lights and install H4 beams and have high beam on both the inner and outer lights. Sweet
