1969 GTV wiring question

It has been discovered that the 1969 US Spider was fitted with two different hazard flasher wiring schemes (please read this thread ) that up 'til now, have gone undocumented. My thought is that perhaps the 69 Berlina and 69 GTV may have had this same change. So in order that the color wiring diagrams be as accurate as possible, I'm asking that 69 US GTV owners to please answer the following questions;

1) how many wires, and of what colors, are on the hazard flasher switch
2) how many wires, and of what color(s), are on terminal #31/51 of the hazard flasher relay

please include your chassis number

Your efforts in responding may be rewarded with the knowledge that you have helped to uncover a possible running production change at Alfa that went undiscovered for almost forty years.

Thank you!!

Cross posted in the Berlina section.

On the switch, 3 wires, red, orange (I think, hard to say), and red/black. On the relay, I have 5 wires. Starting from the out side working in, blue, blue/black, (center) red/black that splits off to a flasher unit I think, and inboard, one green, and one black.

Do these sound correct? Car# 1530324.

Will

You've described what I'm calling the Type 2 system; three wires on the switch and two wires on center terminal of the relay. Of the Type 2 systems fitted to the Spider, two of the three wires on the switch are red, not red & orange. Let's see what other owners have to say.

Thanks for the response, Will!!

The orange wire very well could be red. It was hard to tell in a semi dark garage with an almost dead flashlight. How about a less intense red?

Jim, I took these photos during teardown (sorry for the poor quality of the first photo...but with a bit squinting the wire colors can be made out at least). They seem to be the same as Osso's photos from the link you included in your opening post (except that this is a reverse view on the unit and thus opposite to Osso's photo showing the units mounted to the firewall)......oh and chassis AR1530738.

Hi Jim,
On my flasher I have the red, red/black, red configuration. On the firewall relay, I have5 wires. Facing the unit: back row left-Black, back row right-Blue, front row left-green, front row right-blue/black, and center terminal-red/black. This seems very similar to Will's except for the center terminal. Looks original but who knows.

AR 1530772.
