Torn up rear suspension housing

Well i decided to pull an all nighter to finish this ordeal once and for all.
working on the gtv from 9 to 7 in the morning...
Well seems that the right spring had this white plastic ring added to it which the left didn't! ....Go figure.
I ordered some custom cut circular rubber made for me so i can slide the shock absorber inside without the gap and moisture it previously had.This will seal the turret.

Moving along, the right hand side is ready primed and seam sealed...i did get wild with the stuff. I didn't paint it cause after a couple of months i'll be operating on the left hand side turret (red color pic) which though it has been repaired by some proffesional idiot i'd be reinfocing it too with the 2 semi circular pieces as above.

I was using the angled grinder , the sparks where shooting at the battery, a pretty loud BANG. Me wondering what the f$ck happened...Thank god acid didn't deform my face or spray the Alfa.

-Got a question for you guys , i lifted the car from this point , the arm connection , is it supposed to be bend or did i screw up??????????
