Hmm I guess your right, It made alot of sence at the time since I didnt like the way those blinkers pointed down and looked like an afterthought. Those things were a ***** to match up to the body contours but totally worth it dude, word , hella fresh, did I already say word?

I want your car. Seriously its one of the best looking ones I have seen. Its aggressive, yet still classy. Its also unique. I think I need to find a 71 or later to build for 2 reasons. 1 Aftermarket parts are easy to find, and 2, I can have some fun making it fast and not screw with a correct original car that shouldn't be messed with. I feel really guilty about installing a modern stereo in mine.

wow thanks for the thumbs up, im just gonna take a minute here and..install,...these....extra.... clubs.... and padlocks..and...
OK done great , anyway yes it was super fun to not really give a **** about what is original and what is not. I think there are PLENTY of these cars out there and there are PLENTY of guys who keep them stock so what the hell, have fun and let the market decide if these cars are really special enough to get all alfaanal . Dont get me wrong, I think GTV's are the best car for the buck no question, and they are a little hard to get too, but if you sell your 97 honda and spend 3 days looking on ebay, you can get one, everytime. sometimes you have 3 or 4 to choose from. SO why not sell the honda and act like you are a hotrod race car driver ..all for about 10G!
But the major factor for a mix bag job is simply money and time. its cheaper to junk the bumpers then a rechrome and so-on and so-on. I have a 69 out back that gave its life for that 74 and much like one eyed puppys and ash trays in the shape of breasts, Im a sucker for martyrs.

Thats all fine and dandy if you own a Honda, however I wouldn't be caught dead in one. In my case, my Alfa is my newest car (by about 6 months, the Datsun was built in 68). Infact there are only a handfull of "modern" cars that I would even think about driving, and I can't afford any of them (a 88-91 BMW E30 M3 being about the most affordable. )
Since you happen to have a 69 in the back, do you happen to have the 2 stainless grill pieces that run from the inner headlights to the center grill? I am missing mine and would love to get some. I see you don't have them on your car.
Again, nice work,
Will

No I just let them go a few weeks ago! sorry
late 80's M3 yes! I 100% agree with you on that car! but your 69 is close in value if not dead even right?
I really am thinking about an E28 M5 1988 as my next car, I have a 535 is and love it but the price differance betweem the 2 is about another 0
I get up to napa often, and I think I have seen your car up there, lots of great roads and lots of tweekers too! downtown is a trip, I cant see it staying like that long. Its going to look like disney land in about 10 years I bet..

progress is going good and I almost thought I was close enough to a finished car to have nothing to do with my spare money (shoe box full of $30.00 bills) and time. low and behold, the Alfa Gods spoke to me in the form of a mild explosion followed by hissing and other scary noises! Unfortunately no stigmata but what the hell you cant have everything.
The fan blade gave up the ghost and took my rad and hood with it in one gloriously violent instant! Salvation was at hand in the form of 4 beautiful curved velocity stacks that the alfa gods sent UPS on the very next day !
Now better way to spend an afternoon then ignoring the real problems and simply concentrate on bolting on some very shiny, beautiful, over the top and completely unnecessary accoutrement's!
Enjoy the photos cause its gonna be a week or so till I get a new radiator, but as the old saying goes," it looks fast standing still"!
