1969 105.51 Poll
Sorry BlpltGTV to take over your idea... But as a poll the thread can still be OT, and we can keep a count of how many there might be left out there. The reason I added multiple options is that you can only vote once...so if you have more than one you can add them. And this is for cars existing today.
So please add to the poll if ya got one. Or know of one.
Cheers, Nick

...Used to
Used to have a ghetto metalic maroon '69, was perfect, no rust, no bondo, let it slip through my fingers... Got a '71 now. For the record, I didnt paint it that color.

Will, easy there...
See even an OT post doesn't affect the outcome ;-) And I gave you full credit.

Nick, I was being sarcastic with the dialing 911. My car is going, I found a set of turbina wheels for it. Those have to be less weight than the steel ones that are on it. Picked up a set of springs that I might try and install this weekend (weather dependant). The brakes are back to their old tricks (mushy pedal, doesnt' get any better with pumping. My guess is the rubber hoses are dead.) I have a box of suspension parts that need to go on the car, I just need to find a place and the time to do it.
How is your car coming along? I'd like to see what that engine does on the dyno. On those seat belts, where did you attach the shoulder harneses?
See ya,
Will

Will, I knew you where. Dry sarcasm is hard online...
The belts; I'm having the rear part re-webbed, shorter. I'm attching the rear in the center-rear seat hard point. I'll post pics when I get the peices back.

The 105.51 was produced for the 1969 and 1971 model years.

I thought the '71 was a 115 series? It has the about 1" shorter parcel shelf and different rear-seat.

Have owned one since 2004
Have owned one since 2004, this is a U.S. spec 1969 GTV which I believe to be all original. Not entirely complete but slowly getting there, with the help of people like PapaJam, who has helped me in the past.
Oh, BTW in Toronto, Canada. Picture attached does not do it justice.

Jim,
Did you not get 1970 models? I believe there were gaps in supply in the US.
Where do you reckon 10551 1531068 would fit into the time line? Elvira says mid '70,
Fusi says pre '68 (this one I know is wrong).
It's hard enough to work out all out RHD variations, with series 1, sort of a series 1.5 (which had some of the updates but not all) and series 2 1750s.
All our cars downunder were 105s (not 115), including the 2000 models.
Vince.
