Poll

Hello,
I have a 1969 Alfa GT Junior 1300. It is a 105.3 series. Are you interested in registering for the poll or GTV's only? Thanks.

Barry,
Your interior looks pretty nice. I think you have it figured out. My guess is that its the c.s.s. Do you still have the early spica pump or the later one? Did you double check your pump timing? If you are a tooth off in either direction it will cause strange issues.

Will,
I have the early pump for which service info is sketchy. why are you asking? Pump timing is another issue i need to check. with the pully cover in place it's impossible to check. it seems I need to dismantle quite bit to uncover the timing mark. I sure don't remember things being so tight around the FI on my '75 and my injected '65 TI.

thanks for the reply, barry

Barry,
I have heard that the later ones tend to do strange thigs (exactly what I can't remember. Perhaps its an adjustment issue thats weird.) You should be able to pull the cover off the front of the pump with everything but the airbox in place. Its very tight. Ratcheting open end wrenches are your friends for this application. I remember it being a p.i.t.a. to replace that belt without moving the FI pump. I didn't need to replace it, but I figured better safe than sorry. I may or may not have had the radiator in place at the time, I can't remember. Seeing the mark on the crank pulley is the real trick.

...this thread clearly states it's for the 105.51 model GTV's. You might want to start your own poll for the 1969 105.30 GT juniors....but regardles.....the answer to your question is no.
