It's basically right where the three planes meet. The horizontal seat bottom plane, the vertical seat back plane, and the vertical tunnel plane. It is on the vertical seat back plan about 1 cm from each of the other planes. I don't think Alfa ever put the belts in, but there should be plastic plugs in place. It might be under some of the tar-like coating, if your car came with it.

I had some dynamat installed all over the whole interior of the car, so when I went to put some belts in at a later time, I had trouble finding it too. I think I went from under the car and found the nut welded to the bottom of the car and poked something through it.

Stefano,

Can you pls post a picture how they look like? I have a 1971 bertone, and I cannot find them. Perhaps they are not installed in earlier cars. From which year is your car? Thanks

Because your European Spec GTV would not have any rear seat belt mounts.
I know my '71 GTV (US) had NO REAR BELT mounting holes and the '74 GTV (US) has the holes plus different Front seat belt Upper mounts, reinforced, for the Inertia/Interlock belts fitted to these cars by US law!

In fact my front seat belts are of the non automatic type (no inertia/interlock). Can you pls post a picture of the front seat belts, so that I know what I should install?

Also pictures of how you should reinforce the back seat belt points are more than welcome.

To change over to Inertia style front belts is not easy. You would have to get the belts themselves , plus the upper mount brace would have to be found or fabricated from a US spec car...and then you would need new Inner trim panels too, as the position of the upper bolt holes is quite different. I would stick with what you have. I can email photos but my files are too big to attach here...if u need send me a PM.
