Books on GT's

Hi,
Excuse the novice question, but, are there books someone could recommend on the GT's? I'm just getting into Alfa's and would like to learn more about these various models - 1300's, 1600's, Juniors, etc..

Thanks,
Mike

A little beauty I obtained via AROCA UK (I'm in Australia) is titled:

Alfa Romeo-The Giulia Coupes 1963-1976 written & compiled by Chris Savill.

I just ordered it via email via the UK website (7 UK pounds).

Has a great section IDENTIFYING the differences between models (incl comparative photos in B&W) showing grilles, tail lights and interiors. Being a UK book it also includes info on the various Junior models.

Highly recommend it.

I have all these books and they are good. There is a mob that does a really comprehensive guide to restoring classic . I have the one on MGAs they do a spider one and I keep hoping they will get with it and do a GT book because they are really spot on.

I've got all of the above, and the book by Julien Lombard is tops. Even if you don't speak (or read french) the pictures are fantastic. It is an excellent history of the bertone coupe.

I have Tipler's book on Spiders and it is very superficial. I hope that the GTV book is better. Two books that are not exclusively GTV but cover them well are :
Alfa Romeo Giulia, Spiders and Coupes by Richard Bremmer
Alfa Romeo Giulia History and restoration by Pat Braden.

Also, Alfa Romeo Coupes 1963-1976 - Brooklands Books - a collection af magazine articles and road tests.

If you're a novice, Keith Booker's 'Essential Buyer's Guide' might be a good place to start. It highlights a lot of the problem areas to look out for when buying a 105.

Also the two books of Pat Braden, although not specific for the coupe, are very good.

Alfa romeo owners bible
