Please - Anyone know how to ..

remove the headrest adjuster on the 1750-2000 GTV. Do I have to go in under the upholestry?

i just this did this. i removed the two screws that hold the adjustor mechanism and pulled the adjustor out then moved back toward the seat back and then pulled the headreast up. i had to wiggle it a little but it was pretty easy to do. it is held by a sideways "J" shown in the picture
hear are some pics to give you an idea how its held in. it a previous post someone mentioned an inner tension adjuster bolt. i did not have one on this seat. we'll see how easily it goes back after the seats are recovered.

I had a severe problen in getting the headrests out, since I had to use lot's of force. Once out, I had to bend the shaft in which the headrest slide. Now it is OK. I did not find an adjustment screw, as indicated in a different thread.
