Headrest height adjuster

Hi guys,

Does anybody know how the headrest height adjusters work on the 1750 series 2 and onward seats?

My passenger seat adjuster doesn't work (turn it back and forth and the headrest doesn't move) and I was wondering how I could fix it. I'm afraid it will involve taking the seat back to pieces.

Anybody throw any light on this?

Cheers

Adrian

Hi Adrian,

Welcome!
I'll give it a start. Mostly the 2 tiny cylindric rubbers (sprockets), on the stick (part 3), are dried out and loose their grip when you turn the stick. Maybe you can pull/press the headrest by hand? I'm not shure if part 105.44.58.94.10. must be unscrewed when you want to take out the headrest. The spare stick I have has the 9,5 mm sprockets (105.44.58.863.13). It comes from my former 2000 GTV. The stick can also be removed, when you'r lucky you can read the partnumber as discribed on Tavola 172 (item 3).

Good luck!

Brilliant!

Thanks Cor. Great diagram, tells me everything I need to know, and looks like I won't have to take the seat to pieces.

Mine's Dutch Blue as well.

I had the same problem. It was caused by the metal which makes the slot in which the headrest slides. The metal was bent. I had to remove the headrest and rebend this slot in order to make it wide. Now the headrests move smoothly if you twist the handle
