Gary,
I am sorry to hear of your problems, although I have no relationship with the company I have always used their filters with great success. Where you using the rubber carburettor mounts on your engine by any chance?

Yes, I have stock rubber mounts, which were brand new at the time I was having trouble with the backing plate. A thicker plate solved the problem.

After the Pipercross debacle, I was not about to have anything made by that company on my car. You'd understand, if you'd read what the owner sent me after I wrote asking for help with the ram pipes that didn't fit as advertised.

So I e-mailed ITC, asking for guidance in selecting an air filter. ITC does not sell directly to the public. Still, a manager e-mailed back immediately. When I told him what I needed, he actually went to his warehouse to find ram pipes similar to what I bought from TWM. He then measured them to make sure that the air filter he suggested would leave adequate air space around the ram pipes. That's what I call service above and beyond the call of duty.

That's the type of customer service that deserves to be encouraged ... and rewarded.

Retrofitted Cold Air Box

Hello. Reviving this thread to ask if anyone knows this car:

http://www.alfabb.com/bb/gallery/mai...g2_itemId=2500

and anything about the cold air box:

http://www.alfabb.com/bb/gallery/mai...g2_itemId=2502

Looks like it came from a 1980s or 1990s Alfa.

Thanks.
