brake boosters

Why do some cars have single and other double break boosters? Is it related to the countly or to left vs right hand drive?

For 105 cars with floor (or standing) pedals, a single booster means that the car has single circuit brakes. If there's two boosters, then the car has dual circuit (or tandem) brakes. The only LHD cars that I know of with two remote boosters are the US version 1750s for the 1969 model year. While all LHD cars from about 1970 on got hanging pedals with a tandem brake master cylinder/single booster mounted to the bulkhead, RHD cars retained the standing pedal/dual booster arrangement until about 1977.
