Got a few questions on my '73...

How do you remove the trunk emblem??

My car sits very high the distance from the floor to the top of the wheel well is 26 1/2" front 27" rear. I cant see anything that looks like a spacer on the springs with a 3 1/2 " space between the top of the tire & wheel well?

What springs should I buy to get this car down?? What is a good height? Im running Yoko AVS 205/60 14.

How do you remove the steering wheel hub & wheel? Will I need a puller?

Thanks
Jack

Jack - typically, there is a hard rubber spacer that sits above and below the spring. These are about 3/4" in thickness. I know on my Spider and '71 GTV (when I owned it) only one spacer remained, the other had been removed. I also know if you have gas shocks - such as Bilsteins - these may raise the car a 1/2" or so. I suppose there may be other factors and I'll let the board help with those.

The Alfa badge on the trunk is glued on unfortunately so it's a challenge to remove...

Might try a thin piece of wire to cut the glue and get the emblem off without damage.

I can only tell you what I have done on other cars that have glued on badges. I take dental floss and use it as a saw. Some times it breaks; so, it might take several peices. Once it is removed I use 3m adhesive cleaner to remove the residue.

Be careful to always try the 'cleaner' on an area you can't see. I've never had a problem with this product; but, one friend has bubbled paint from a different product. Make sure it says it's for auto paint on the bottle!

There's a discussion on pulling a streeing wheel in this BB thread.
And yes, you need a puller.
