I seriously looked at this option around 12-14 months ago and spoke to one or two people who had gooten firm quoates, etc then dispatched one of my Polish employees who is a car nut to do some more research.
His findings at thaied more questions than answers:
firstly the hourly labour rate I had been quoted was around 15-20% more than he had been quoted, secondly the it appears that the mechanical work was done in one city and the bodywork elsewhere (I seem to recall Warsaw and Krakow but I might be wrong). It seems that they had a deal with OKP parts in Germany (10% off or something like that) and there seemed to be a hint that the two partners did not see eye to eye.
all in all, it just seemed a bit too risky. This is not to cast doubt on the standard of their work becuase obviously I don't have direct experience but judging from the fact that their website seems not to have changed much in the last 18 months, not really sure of what the current position is.
portalclassic were the other lot who set up in Poland...again their website seems to be on the blink...not very encouraging.
