Well, Let's Do This Again / Concours Judges

But will be down right nuts over small things.
Like incorrect or non-original spark plug wiring with the wrong colored wires.

Yea, it's the automotive equivalent of arguing about how many angels can sit on the head of a pin. I am so glad that folks devote their lives to these restoration details so that I can marvel at them. I am even more glad that I don't have to!

Well we have made it to final primer. The car has been down a long, long road and it is finally in the last stage.

This car is listed as original Graphite Grey. Is it the same as was chosen for the car?

The surface area looks impeccable in primer; can't wait for the color coat. The new owner is going to be very pleased...

Well we are inching closer to the finish line. The car was block sanded to near perfect then sealed and colored. The color will be wet sanded then clear coated. But for now it is in AR716 Grigio.

Then in color....

Lovely work guys. I'm not sure I like the colour but it makes a change from red!

Just out of interest, what happened to the holes in the front wings for the side repeaters? I can see that they'd been filled in with all the other bodges when all the original filler came off but they're still missing now. Doesn't the owner want them?

Hi Jim. The color is a alfa color. It's AR716 and was offered on GT's in 69. I have a Duetto I want to shoot this color. With a red interior, I think it will be grand. The new owner requested the holes be welded up. He has a vision as to what the final look will be.
