Value of Clean GTV 2000?
So just what are the current prices out there for a clean original and rust free GTV 2000? Are the '74's worth the most? If so, why?

If it has no needs and runs just like it should, detailed and shows well, then
look for $15k - $20k. Exceptional cars now sell for $20k and up. I see no
difference between '73 and '74.

I am looking at a 71 GTV 1750 SPICA, very clean original, with little or no rust issues, crack in dash, no restoration or modifications, any ideas as to value range....

I recently sold an immaculate 74 for $13,000 Australian, $9,650 US. Absolute no rust, fully restored back to original. I can't say what you would ask in other countries. I was very happy with this price as the Alfa is not as popular & does not command as high a price here.

Would have gone for closer to $15K here in the US, Croz. Alfa GTV's are pretty popular and are getting even more so as years go by.

the 1750 I am looking at is in California, original paint, undocumented mileage but probably 150k, well maintained, but not restored...it shows very nice and in good condition...needless to say the guy wants much more than 10k... there was a 1971 GTV 1750 (yellow) 60k miles located in Canada, on ebay closed reserve not met at under 10K...then sold off line for 15k per the seller...if is very difficult to assess value these days. Would 12,500 be too much?

I bought a 1974 GTV 2000 for $1,000 five years ago. It only took another grand to get it daily drivable. Surface rust only.
The GTV is by far my favorite car to drive and I've owned a 3-series, a 3rd gen RX-7, two 1st gen Miatas, a WRX and an STi (not a super long list I know, but I'm young yet).
I really don't care how much I end up spending on it...working on it is so fun I donno what I'm gonna do if she's ever "finished".

That is an amazing price. I've sold rust free "rollers" that need everything for $2,500.

Croz, I think one of the reasons Alfa's aren't as valued here is because we owners talk them down. You have to pay $50K+ for a genuine RS Escort or Lotus Cortina these days, and they're a pile of s*** compared to a GTV! And old Aussie muscle cars are selling for crazy prices, and they don't even rate a mention compared to an Alfa (and they have no market outside of Aus). Mind you, good example 105s are mostly advertised around the $20k mark in Aus now. The $12-14k cars are mostly good drivers that still need some work.
Consider that worldwide classic car values are driven very much by the US and UK markets, as that's where the biggest demand is. And if they are paying in excess of USD$20k for an immaculate car, then we should be asking $30k here. And eventually we will.
There are probably less good cars available in the US and EU as a lot more have rusted out than here in Aus, and as with all commodities supply and demand will dictate prices in future.
It's possible, and even probable, that in future US/UK buyers will start looking off-shore for good examples, as there are none to be sourced locally. When that happens, it won't mean Jack S*** what the Australian market values them at, as prices will be determined by world demand.
I'll be keeping my GTV long term I expect, but even if I was to sell it now, I'd be asking a lot more than $13k. If an old Monaro is worth $35k, then my GTV is worth $50k !!! hehehe
