115.01.50.086.73 Panel for 69 GTV
I don't have a parts book (yet) for the 69 GTV and wanted to know if it shares the same panel part number 115.01.50.086.73 as the 72 GTV (as shown below). Second question is does anyone know where I can get either a used or replacement panel ? I've checked EB, Centreline, Hutienne & Hertlesbeck, OKPARTS, Biondi, Hackner and Wolfsteel - with no luck.

Rossano,
If the part is the same as the 2 litre cars, I may have a lead on one for you.

Ken,
I don't know yet if it is the same as the 2000's - but maybe I should check it out anyway.

I've asked the guy to check the condition and if it's available. Several people are picking over the same parts car.

Unless they moved it since I was there "stealing" parts, it's in Woodbridge.

Surely easier just to fix the existing panel? ... hardly visible, etc.
BTW: That panel/part is made out of a few separate panels ...
Best.

Pete,
if I can't find a replacement panel (the quicker and easier route to go) - I have no aversion to making up a new one from scratch. You're right numerous small pieces make up the entire assembly - I'm carefully removing these and find that this takes more time than it's worth - plus the parts have already been patched and a poor attempt to straighten them is obvious.
Thanks

Surely the whole thing does not need to be remade?
Is this accident damage, or a car even ruster than mine (sorry) ?
I'm with you if it is accident damage as it would be hard to straighten due to poor access, etc.

The access will be improved soon when I cut-off the front panel. There's some bent sheetmetal at the roll bar attachment point that I want to correct - and yeah I probably won't need to remake every piece. Of course this will depend on the success I have with clean removal of the panels first.
